The Kabila Founder Mental Health Fund

The Kabila Founder Mental Health Fund is a nonprofit dedicated to one thing: making sure no founder has to go without mental health support because they can't afford it.

We provide free wellness resources and professional mental health grants to startup founders across the country. Our grants are named after my immigrant grandmother, Carmen Reid, a woman who never had access to the support she needed and died at a young age because of it.

Here's how it works. Founders apply for a grant through a simple form; they receive funding for professional therapy sessions, either through BetterHelp or as a reimbursement toward sessions with their own therapist. The process is simple by design.

Burn Bright, Not Out

I wrote this book because 72% of founders are dealing with mental health issues, and many of them are doing it alone. And because it's the book I wish I had when my first startup failed.

Co-authored with Django De Gree II, with a foreword by Techstars CEO David Cohen and a chapter by legendary investor Brad Feld, Burn Bright, Not Out: Shattering the Silence Around Mental Health in Tech Startups is for every founder who has ever felt like they couldn't say out loud how hard this actually is.

Ninety percent of the net profits go directly to the Kabila Founder Mental Health Fund. So when you buy the book, you're funding free therapy and access to wellness resources for a founder who needs them.
